Regenerate Australia
Nature. Community. Carbon.
Focused on high-integrity ecological restoration and community planting initiatives, we work with organisations, communities, and Traditional Owners to restore Country and support climate resilience.
Regenerate Australia is an environmental charity restoring ecosystems and the communities connected to them.
Formerly Carbon Positive Australia, we have spent more than two decades working alongside Traditional Owners, landholders, organisations and local communities to regenerate Country through high-integrity, science-led restoration. Our purpose is to help create a thriving, biodiverse Australia by restoring native ecosystems, strengthening climate resilience, and supporting the communities connected to Country.

Introducing Tim Jarvis AM
Tim Jarvis AM is an environmental scientist, author, filmmaker, explorer and advocate focused on practical solutions to climate change and biodiversity loss. His work — from recreating the historic Antarctic journeys of Mawson and Shackleton to founding The Forktree Project — is grounded in a deep understanding that meaningful environmental progress requires practical action.
“I am honoured to become Regenerate Australia’s inaugural Patron. Its commitment to restoring ecosystems at scale, using high-integrity techniques, is something I am proud to be a part of.”
Tim’s appointment builds on our existing partnership with The Forktree Project, currently working with the Ngarrindjeri community to restore Country at Raukkan in South Australia’s Coorong region.
We design, deliver, and monitor restoration projects ourselves.
Backed by science, ecological expertise, and collaboration.

Beginning as a grassroots WA-based charity planting native trees on degraded farmland, we’ve grown into a national restoration organisation with projects across multiple landscapes and partnerships spanning conservation, science, philanthropy, and Indigenous-led initiatives.
Our evolution into Regenerate Australia reflects who we have become:
• A restoration-first organisation
• A partner to Traditional Owners
• A connector of communities and landholders
• A leader in nature-based climate solutions
• A charity driven by impact, integrity, and care for Country
